Images of Singapore Museum in 360°
Images of Singapore is a historical museum showcasing culture and history of Singapore using presentations and tableaus.
1. What to see
The first room is furnished with colonial items. A special presentation called 'Four Winds of Singapore', a tribute to the national contributions of Singapore's Chinese, Eurasian, Malay and Indian populations is to be viewed in the adjoining theatre hall.
Leaving the theatre, visitors can walk along the museum and learn about the history of Singapore using lifesize tableaus depicting major events in Singapore's history. A large section of the museum is devoted to local customs of ethnic groups of Singapore.
3. How to get there
Most tourists visit Singapore on a package tour that allows them to spend 2-3 days in the city. This limited timespan might include a half-day trip to Sentosa Island, themed as Asia's favourite playground. There are plenty of things to do on this island: you can learn a lot about marine life in Underwater World, understand the multiethnic roots of Singapore in this museum, watch the latest movies in the IMAX theatres etc.
4. Where to stay
There are plenty of hotels to stay in Singapore, the best ones are located either at the city center or at the Island of Sentosa.
